Monthly IT Maintenance (Feb 2025)
We wish to inform all users that Academic Computing and Information Services will be performing IT preventive maintenance on the following date:

Closure of Library on 22 Feb 2025 (Sat)
The Library will be closed on 22 Feb 2025 (Sat) for an annual NIE staff event. Loans due on this date will be automatically extended to the following work day (24 Feb 2025, Mon).

Please note NIE Library’s opening hours for the Chinese New Year period:

Fire Protection Functional Test (7 Dec 2024)
We wish to inform users that the monthly fire protection functional test will be carried out on 7 Dec 2024, Saturday from 0900 hrs to 1800 hrs at Block 4 (Library/Canteen) in NIE.
During the test, fire alarm bells and speakers will be sounded intermittently.
Please do not use the lifts during the test.
We apologise for any disturbance or inconvenience this may cause.

We wish to inform users that the Development and Estate Department will be carrying out testing of the Public Address (PA) System at NIE Block 4 (Library) on 9 Nov 2024 (Saturday).
During the test, there will be playing of PA messages from 9am to 1pm. Please do not be alarmed.
