Application for Temporary Reader's Permit

Terms and Conditions

Only staff or tertiary students of government institutions may apply.
Staff or tertiary students of government institutions are required to obtain a Letter of Introduction from the Librarian of their Institution. The letter should include the staff or student’s name, staff or Matriculation card number and reason for their visit.
Temporary Reader’s permit is not transferrable and may browse the print collection only.
Temporary Reader’s permit must observe the Copyright regulations when making photocopies from books/periodicals.
We will take 3-5 working days to process your application.
NIE Library reserves the right to grant or not to grant the Temporary Reader’s Permit.
