NIE Library and Information Services Centre is the largest education library in Singapore.

Founded in 1950 as a Teachers’ Training College library, the NIE Library and Information Services Centre is the largest education library in Singapore.
It provides resources to support the teaching, learning and research programmes of the Institute, and reaches out to meet the needs of education professionals

in the Ministry of Education, schools and other related organisations.

The Library is located at Nanyang Technological University.

How do I access the library’s online resources and databases?

NIE Library members can access our digital resources by starting with a Library Integrated Search at the main search bar on our homepage. Users may also browse through a suite of databases subscribed by NIE Library by clicking on “List of Databases” located under the main search bar.

How can I get support with research or academic publishing?

We provide consultation on citation analysis, research impact, publishing, and data management planning, and content development of data and digital repositories. For more information, please email libris@nie.edu.sg.

How do I find journal rankings or impact metrics?

You can use the Journal Citation Reports (JCR) (Clarivate Analytics) or Scimago (Scopus) to check the tier and ranking by subject of a journal.

Do alumni or external users have access to the library’s resources?

Yes, alumni and external users can access NIE Library resources by applying for relevant memberships (e.g., Alumni, External, or Teacher membership; fees apply). Access to online resources is restricted to on-site use within the Library.
