Fourteen art works from The NIE Art Collection are displayed permanently in the NIE Library.

These art works were acquired by the NIE and its predecessors, the Teachers' Training College (TTC) and the Institute of Education (IE), over the past 60 years. Spaces on campus (including the Library) were made available for these artworks not only for exhibition and to enhance the aesthetic beauty of the surrounding space, but were also thoughtfully planned to stay true to NIE's commitment in the study, practice and teaching of Art.

These art works are by artists who have left a long-lasting legacy, some of whom were former teaching staff of the institution.
