This workshop is the first of a 2-part series, Foundations for Research Success - Navigating the Literature Landscape, a collaboration between NIE Library and the Graduate Student Club.
In the this workshop, participants will:
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of effectively using library databases for research
- Learn key techniques for precise keyword searches
- Discover how to access full-text documents through the library's integrated search system.
- Utilise other library tools and research support services.
This practical session equips attendees with skills to navigate the realm of academic literature, laying a strong foundation for their research endeavors.
About the Speaker Mae is the Unit Head of Learning Services in NIE Library. She has developed and conducted a range of programmes on bibliographic research, searching techniques, citation management applications and information literacy for NIE graduate students, undergraduate courses and staff. She holds an MSc in Information Studies from and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education. |
