EBSCO Open Dissertations

EBSCO Open Dissertations (previously “American Doctoral Dissertations”) is an open access database with records of 1.5 million electronic theses and dissertations from over 320 universities worldwide. This database is a collaboration between EBSCO and the H.W. Wilson Foundation, and contains full-text theses and dissertations spanning from 1933 to the present.

Global Press Archive

Global Press Archive (GPA) offers a collection of digitized historical newspaper publications from around the world. This Open Access resource is an initiative of Stanford Libraries and the Hoover Institution Library & Archives to digitally preserve and make more accessible thousands of original print newspaper publications collected by the Hoover Institution and now housed by Stanford Libraries.

SJR: SCImago Journal & Country Rank

“The SCImago Journal & Country Rank is a publicly available portal that includes the journals and country scientific indicators developed from the information contained in the Scopus® database (Elsevier B.V.). These indicators can be used to assess and analyze scientific domains. Journals can be compared or analysed separately. Country rankings may also be compared or analysed separately. Journals can be grouped by subject area (27 major thematic areas), subject category (313 specific subject categories) or by country.

CiteScore

CiteScore Online measures the citation impact of serial titles such as journals. It calculates the average number of citations received in a calendar year by all items published in that journal in the preceding three years. The calendar year to which a serial title's issues are assigned is determined by their cover dates, and not the dates that the serial issues were made available online. In addition to the CiteScore number and percentile ranking, CiteScore also includes the SJR (Scimago Journal Rank) and SNIP (Source Normalised Impact per Paper) numbers.

IATED Digital Library

IATED Digital Library includes education, technology and innovation papers published in the conferences organised by the International Academy of Technology, Education and Development. This library provides academics, researchers, professionals and students with a large database of papers about innovative educational experiences and research projects on education and technology. Access to the conference abstracts is free. Full conference proceedings can be bought through IATED on-line bookshop.

PubChem

PubChem contains the chemical structures of small organic molecules and information on their biological activities. PubChem includes substance information, compound structures, and bioactivity data in three primary databases, PCSubstance, PCCompound, and PCBioAssay, respectively. PubChem is integrated with Entrez, NCBI's primary search engine, and also provides compound neighboring, sub/superstructure, similarity structure, bioactivity data, and other searching features.

ChemSpider

ChemSpider is a chemistry search engine. It has been built with the intention of aggregating and indexing chemical structures and their associated information into a single searchable repository. Providing access to millions of chemical structures and integration to a multitude of other online services, ChemSpider is the richest single source of structure-based chemistry information.

International Nuclear Information System

The International Nuclear Information System (INIS) database covers all aspects of the peaceful uses of nuclear science and technology such as nuclear reactors, reactor safety, nuclear fusion, applications of radiation and radioisotopes in medicine, agriculture, industry and pest control, as well as related fields of nuclear chemistry, nuclear physics and materials science. Special emphasis is placed on the environmental, economic and health effects of nuclear energy. Legal and social aspects associated with nuclear energy are also covered. Publication types include scientific and technical reports, conference proceedings, patents and theses

MERLOT

The Multimedia Educational Resources for Learning and Online Teaching (MERLOT) is a free and open online community of resources designed primarily for faculty, staff and students of higher education from around the world to share their learning materials and pedagogy. MERLOT is a leading edge, user-centered, collection of peer reviewed higher education, online learning materials, catalogued by registered members and a set of faculty development support services.
