The Library offers support to faculty and researchers in managing and publishing research data: from preparing research data management plans, through file management best practices and metadata creation, to data sharing and data archiving.
Data Management Plan (DMP)
- A formal document developed at the start of the project outlining how research data will be handled during and after the project is completed, describing what data will be shared and/or made open, and how it will be curated and preserved
- A DMP needs to be revised (with version recorded) as and when there is a substantial change during the lifespan of the project
- Regardless whether the funding agency requires it, preparation of a DMP encourages successful handling of collected data across a project's lifecycle and beyond
