Test Materials

Introduction

The Test Material Collection contains over 1,000 test materials measuring achievement, intelligence, personality, aptitude and many other subjects. Access to test materials is restricted to NIE and NTU staff / students only.

Test materials are classified into two categories: Non-sensitive and Restricted. Photocopying, in part or in whole, of test materials is strictly NOT permissible.

Non-sensitive Tests

  • Eligible readers may borrow non-sensitive tests for two hours for consultation within the library premises.
  • Please submit a Closed Stacks Items Request form available online or at the Service Point, Level 2, Left Wing

 Restricted Tests

  • Loans of restricted tests are subject to the approval of the course or project supervisor.
  • Readers can print out the application form for the loan of restricted tests or get the forms from the Loan Counter.

Mental Measurements Yearbook provides references to the tests and reviews as well as information on availability, scoring and validity. Buros Test Reviews Online
Publishers of the "Mental measurements yearbook and tests in print series", the Buros Institute of Mental Measurements publishes critical reviews designed to support the informed selection of commercially available tests. The site provides free information on almost 4,000 commercially available tests. More than 2,000 of those tests have been reviewed by the Buros Institute and can be ordered online.

Educational Testing Service Test Collection
The Test Collection Database contains descriptions of over 20,000 tests that reside in the library of Educational Testing Service. The test database is searchable by title, author, or descriptor, and each entry includes information on the test availability, author, abstract if available, and more.

Practical Assessment, Research and Evaluation : A Peer Reviewed Electronic Journal
Practical Assessment, Research and Evaluation (PARE) is an on-line journal supported, in part, by the Department of Measurement, Statistics, and Evaluation at the University of Maryland, College Park. Its purpose is to provide education professionals access to refereed articles that can have a positive impact on assessment, research, evaluation, and teaching practice, especially at the local education agency (LEA) level.
